Awareness precedes choice. – John E. Jones
After 30 years in the international learning and development field, I am acutely aware of the shifts in how people work or are expected to work. The ways in which our world, especially our world of work, is changing—organizational restructuring, digitalization, international and sometimes virtual collaboration, and new expectations of leadership, to name a few elements—create challenges both for organizations and for their people.
They also offer tremendous opportunities for growth for all parties.
In order to make the most of the opportunities, people—especially frontline contributors and their leaders—need suitable skills and perspectives. I see the work that I do–building workplace resilience, intercultural competence, leadership capability, teams, and inquiry skills–as a way to enable clients, individual and corporate, to embrace the challenges and unfold the full benefits of the opportunities.
